In the Fiesta
Oracle is considered to be among the weakest classes for the fiesta. It's limited weapon selection (only staves) leaves it unable to use many of the powerful weapons the player has access to. Oracle's ability set is cumbersome, where !condemn requires the character's MP total to be carefully managed to not impede the party. It is strongly recommended to rotate between 0 and 7, as those effects are beneficial.

BERSERKERRISK is a job option for the Fiesta. Based on the current donation total for the event, players who opt in to BERSERKERRISK have a greater chance of getting a Berserker.

Your chance of getting a Berserker is tied to the percentage donation goal for the event. As an example, if the donation goal is at 50%, the player has a 50% chance of a Berserker overriding a job in an eligible slots.

Note: Berserker is a valid job to get for most runs even if you did not sign up for BERSERKERRISK.

Trivia
*Berserker Risk was created for the 2012 fiesta, making it one of the oldest modifiers.
*The original version of Berserker Risk worked differently. A pooled number of berserkers was calculated based on the donations raised prior to the event, then divided out among the people who signed up for Berserker Risk (possibly giving out multiple berserkers to certain players). It also could only be signed up for during preregistration.
For those who are tempted to open every treasure chest they see, the dragon comes for you. Shinryu is one of the game's two major superbosses, and definitely lives up to the title with a wide array of powerful attacks and spells. Dealing with Shinryu's massive offensive power may seem quite intimidating, but it turns out this monster might just have a key weakness or two that makes the fight much more straightforward. Don't breathe easy just yet, though.
{No-Damage Magic, Nothing, Nothing}
}

Strategies
The very first thing to note about Shinryu is that, unlike most bosses, it can be fled from. If an attempt goes badly, you can always retreat, rework your party setup, and come back later with better preparation.

The second thing is that Shinryu opens every attempt the same way: launching a monstrous Tidal Wave cast that inflicts 8000+ damage to your entire party. If you do not have a way of dealing with this, you lose, period. This pretty much comes down to one of two accessories equipped: Hermes Sandals (which allow you a narrow window to act before the Tidal Wave is cast) or Coral Ring (absorbs the water damage). You will almost always need one of these two on every party member to progress.

The third thing is that Shinryu absorbs holy damage. Have your Knights and Dragoons put Excalibur and Holy Lance away, and don't expect your White Mage to be a damage contributor. (Not that this is a major problem for White Mages or Dragoons, see below.)

The fourth thing is that Shinryu is a dragon (gasp), so weapons that deal extra damage to Dragon type enemies like the Dragon Lance, Apollo's Harp, and the Dragon Whisker are valuable for this fight. (The Dragon Whisker is also Shinryu's rare steal, so it's possible to steal it off and then immediately put it to work if you have Beastmaster or Freelancer.)

At this point, your strategy will likely be put into play, which comes down to four options for dealing with Shinryu's attack rotation. The last one involves navigating Shinryu's gauntlet of powerful attacks (thankfully there will be no more Tidal Wave casts after this). The other three, meanwhile...

Berserk
That's right, Shinryu is vulnerable to Berserk, so instead of having to deal with Shinryu's regular script, you just have to answer to Shinryu spamming melee attacks. Inflicting Berserk can be done via White Mage's spell of the same name, Beastmaster releasing a Mammon to cast Berserk on a teammate with Reflect up so it bounces onto Shinryu, Chemist mixing a Bacchus's Cider (Holy Water + Turtle Shell), having any staff-wielding job use the Power Staff, or having a rod-wielding job cast Berserk via the Wonder Wand's spell rotation.

Those melee attacks are no joke, however, inflicting several thousand damage and usually one-shotting your party members. Typical means of melee damage reduction like Protect will not help you here - you need to negate the attacks entirely. Knight can employ critical health Cover + Guard, White Mage can cast Blink (yes, White Mage generally trivializes this fight), Ninja can employ Image, and shields and gear that grants independent evade (keep in mind Elven Mantle is not an option, due to Tidal Wave) can also help.

Furthermore, Shinryu is also vulnerable to blind, although having to get around its magic evasion to land it with Blue Mage (Flash spell) or Ninja (throwing Ash) won't be easy. On older versions, Chemist could bypass this with the Dark Sigh mix (Eyedrop + Dragon Fang), but not so on the defunct mobile/Steam or Pixel Remaster versions. A Beastmaster can inflict blind on Shinryu via Rainbow Wind, which can be cast by releasing a Galajelly. A Ranger who carries a Dark Bow in every version but the defunct mobile/Steam can easily inflict this. (In said version, it's subject to magic evasion as well.) Furthermore, on defunct mobile/Steam, all of these will be countered with Zombie Breath even when Shinryu is berserked, so be careful.

If none of these are options, all you can do is get into a rhythm of tossing Phoenix Downs while people attack. If this is required, you will want a full stack of 99 Phoenix Downs going into the fight.

Keep up the offense while maintaining whatever defensive measures you have, and Berserk Shinryu will go down.

Reflect Zombie
The local Necromancer enemies in the Interdimensional Rift like to use Zombie Powder to turn your characters into mindless undead. But if you have Bard as one of your jobs, you can take advantage of this to take down Shinryu.

You want a zombie character equipped with a Reflect Ring. (If you end up with multiple zombies, only one needs the Reflect Ring.) Any remaining characters must have the Bard's Hide ability set, and Hermes Sandals equipped. When the battle begins, all non-zombie characters should immediate Hide before the Tidal Wave hits and remain there.

And then you wait. The Reflect Ring will bounce Shinryu's Atomic Ray casts back at it, inflicting a small amount of damage each time. Nothing Shinryu can do can stop or undo the zombies, so it just becomes a matter of time for the reflected damage to add up. This is very slow due to Atomic Ray not being guaranteed and Shinryu highly likely to throw Mighty Guard on itself at some point, but after a couple of hours Shinryu should fall.

It is worth noting that on the defunct mobile/Steam version, the reflected Atomic Ray only does about a third of the damage it does on other versions, so be prepared to spend 5+ hours or more attempting this strategy on that version. If you lack the patience or time, choose another strategy or just move on.

Dragoon
While Dragoon are not normally the greatest job, they really shine when it comes to fighting Shinryu. Jump in conjunction with equipped Hermes Sandals allows your Dragoon to avoid basically all of Shinryu's attacks (including Tidal Wave), and with Dragon Lance inflicts heavy damage. Or if you want to be risky, you can use Coral Ring along with an equipped Ice Shield to nullify most of Shinryu's elemental damage, and pray for luck on which attacks Shinryu uses in between jumps.

As for the rest of your party...who cares? Okay, if you have another physical job, having them with Jump to inflict extra damage doesn't hurt. Additionally, this strategy becomes even more broken with Time Mage, as the Quick spell can allow you extra risk-free Jump attacks to burn through Shinryu's hit points even faster. Other jobs can chip in setup for the few turns they survive, but a lot of the time this is going to come down to a single Dragoon bouncing off of Shinryu's head over and over until it dies, while the rest of the party takes a floor nap.

Other
If none of the above strategies are possible, and you still want to try to kill Shinryu, you're in for a rough fight.

Shinryu's basic script after Tidal Wave follows a specific pattern. The first turn involves either a physical attack, Maelstrom, or the Blue Mage spell Roulette (inflicts instant death to a random target on the field, does nothing if it selects Shinryu as the target). The second turn is one of three elemental attacks (Atomic Ray, Frost Breath, or Lightning). Of the three, Lightning is the least dangerous, even if the Coral Rings double the damage it does (since it is percentage based). Combining an Ice Shield with your Coral Ring will result in the first two being nullified, so every shield user you have should go for this combo.

Then Shinryu takes a pair of double turns, where it acts twice per turn. The first of these double turns starts off identical to its first single turn, followed by one of three Blue Mage spells (Mighty Guard, Level 2 Old, or Level 3 Flare). You want to be a level that isn't affected by the latter two of those spells. The second double turn has a two-thirds chance of physical attacks each time, with a one third chance of Evil Eye for the first action and a chance of Poison Breath for the second action. Finally, Shinryu will skip a turn, then start over from the beginning. Finally, if hit with a non-damaging spell effect, Shinryu will counter with Zombie Breath.

In general, any of the strategies used to negate melee damage in the Berserk section work here too, and with enough hit points and level grinding, you can survive a melee strike from non-Berserked Shinryu with Protect and back row. Poison Breath is also dangerous, but on older versions an equipped Bone Mail lets you absorb it.

The fight is clearly designed for high level Freelancers with multiple mastered jobs, which is not an option for the fiesta, but with the right gear and preparation it's doable. However, you will still be counting on luck to avoid the dreaded Maelstrom + Lightning combo, which can wipe out your party, or bad combos of melee strikes, or avoiding getting Poison Breath at all. If you're determined and have the time to see it through, press on, and with luck and skill you can earn a win.
Omega is a superboss of Final Fantasy V. It is found in the interdimensional rift wandering too and fro after the first save point in the cave section. The player must sneak by Omega, lest they be jumped by a metaphorical robotic puppy seeking love and attention. While this is usually a harmless affair with puppy's in reality, the nigh unstoppable death machine is the exception. When gearing up for Omega the player needs to be prepared for the following:

Strategies
Omega has innate Haste, Shell, and Reflect, alongside a Heavy flag to slough off status conditions (pretty much only Stop) that happen to land. Version differences change the dynamic of this fight, notably in defunct mobile and Pixel Remaster where Wave Cannon can miss.

Bard
The Bard class has all it needs to defeat Omega without support from any other class, but loves another class that provides damage. Bard can !sing Romeo's Ballad and due to Omegas "Can't Evade:Song" it'll always stop Omega in its tracks. On Defunct Mobile Omega will even glow while stop is active. While Omega is stopped it will not counterattack, and you can hit it with anything. Bard usually starts with 3 characters singing Romeo's Ballad, but through use of Swift Song one can accelerate to needing fewer characters dedicated to stopping the machine and can swap over to Hero's Rhyme, Sinewy Etude, or Mana's Paean to boost damage. If the player has none of the other ways to circumvent Omega's defenses or immunity, the Bard can opt to unequip its weapons and fish for unarmed fist crits for 6 damage each. While this will take an extremely long time, you have all the time in the world.

Beastmaster
On GBA Beastmaster's !Calm ability is bugged and works on Omega. Just like Bard, Beastmaster can soothe Omega and lock it down while other characters deal damage. You can also !catch Yellow Dragons for an instant 9999 damage.

Chemist
!Mix is absurdly powerful and you can use it to become nigh invincible to fight Omega on its own terms. There are two strategies for how Chemist handles this fight: Fast or Slow. The Fast strategy only works on SNES and Pixel Remaster, and involves using the Kiss of Blessing !Mix (Maiden's Kiss + Holy Water) to break Omega's script. As long as you can survive the physical attacks and slug it out with Omega it can be worthwhile. The slow strategy involves mixing to invincibility and slugging it out with Omega once buffed. Your Chemist will start with a Reflect Ring equipped (to protect yourself from Delta Attack) and !Mix a Levisalve (Antidote + Maiden's Kiss) in a nearby fight to get the float status to avoid Earthquakes and then follow this flowchart while chugging Elixirs when they get hit by Wave Cannon:
*!Drink a Speed Shake (could also !Mix Turtle Shell + Eyedrop for Hasty-ade)
*!Drink a Goliath Tonic (Elixir + Dragon Fang from !Mix)
*!Mix Dragon Defense (Dragon Fang + Phoenix Down) for Protect, Shell, and Regen. (Also reflect, but since you have a Reflect Ring it does not matter)
*!Mix Dragon Kiss (Dragon Fang + Maiden's Kiss) to grant yourself Dragon (useless in this fight) and Heavy (to block some of the instant kill attacks like Encircle)
*!Mix Resist Fire (Ether + Eyedrop) for fire resistance
*!Mix Dragon Power (Potion + Dragon Fang or Hi Potion + Dragon Fang) to increase your level by 20 until your level is above 99
*!Mix Shadowflare (Dark Matter + Dark Matter) for damage until you win.

For Pixel Remaster, changes to Shadowflare accuracy makes it unreliable for fighting Omega. Instead, use Succubus Kiss (Maiden's Kiss + Turtle Shell) to deal damage after reducing Omega's defense with Turtle Soup (Turtle Shell + Antidote).

If you have another class capable of circumventing Omega's defenses you can give them !Mix and spend time mixing Turtle Soup (Turtle Shell + Antidote) to reduce Omega's defense.

Ranger
!Rapidfire circumvents Omega's Evasion and Defense to deal direct damage, but also triggers 2 sets of counters (for 4 total). So long as you can handle that, Ranger is an incredible win condition.

Mystic Knight
Mystic Knight with Thundaga Blade can deal immense damage, but you have to contend with Omega's 95% Evasion. It's doable.

Coral Sword, Trident, Thunder Bow
If you can equip any of these weapons you can bypass Omega's defenses, but you will still need a way to circumvent Omega's 95% evasion. Dragoons and their !Jump will always hit.

Tri Reflect
Red Mage and Black Mage can use Thundara/Thundaga to bounce lightning damage off the party to hit Omega, circumventing its reflect. If you can dispel Omega's innate shell with the Wonder Wand, you can also do much more damage. On some versions of the game (SNES, GBA, PS, Defunct Mobile) Omega will not counterattack if the party takes damage, so you will run three characters with Reflect Rings and one character with Lightning resistant gear to take damage.

Summoner
Summoner can cast Odin or Ramuh (Using the Wonder Wand to Dispel Omega's auto-shell Ramuh will deal more damage) though will need to handle Omega's counterattacks.

Crits
Samurai with their katanas or Monks with their fists can bypass Omega's defense through crits. You will still need a way to defy counterattacks and guarantee hits.

Time Mage
Time Mage has two strategies. Time Mage can roll the dice with Meteor or Comet (which can roll high enough to exceed Omega's high M.Defense) or can "quickleak" via casting Quick and then breaking a Venom Rod (aimed at a party member with a reflect ring to bypass Omega's innate reflect) and never taking the second action. Quickleaking will take somewhere around 2 hours for all the HP to drain out of Omega, and it does not work on all versions (It does not work on PR).

Berserker
Axes quarter enemy defense, so Berserkers are a potent damage source against Omega. You will need a way to Stop Omega to allow Berserker to hit, however.
Summary
The void consumes all, and Exdeath is not excluded. What is left afterwards is a tangled four-part mass of insane demons and spirits that seek to destroy everything, one that stands between you and your final victory. Each of the four parts has their own abilities and weaknesses, and staying alive while taking full advantage of these weaknesses with whatever resources your jobs can muster is key to winning.

Good luck.
Strategies
As noted above, Neo Exdeath is divided into four different parts, each with their own hit point pool. All four parts must be killed to win. On older versions of the game, Neo Exdeath also has two dummy parts that do nothing, cannot be hurt, and only serve to absorb randomly targeted spells and attacks.

Thankfully, the four main parts generally act infrequently, with all of them having at least a chance to skip some turns. This is good, but it doesn't get around that when they do act, they are each capable of unleashing powerful attacks and abilities that can and will decimate an unprepared party. This is why it is generally recommended to do any setup work while fighting Exdeath's tree form, as any buffs from that fight carry over directly into this one.

While the forms mostly have different attack patterns (described below), the one thing they do have in common is infrequently using Dispel to remove one character's buffs. Be ready to reapply those if need be.

Once three of the four parts have been slain, Neo Exdeath's final part goes into hyperdeath mode, acting twice per turn and spamming powerful melee strikes, Meteor, and Almagest (more on what this does below). More than a couple turns of this is guaranteed to wipe out your party, so balancing your damage between different parts so that the final part is nearly dead when you reach this point is the preferred approach. Of course, there are other strategies, depending on what order you killed the parts in and what options you have.

On the SNES, Playstation, and GBA versions, Beastmaster can make the entire fight much less difficult with the right releases (like Dragon Aevis), potentially shaving 39996 health off of every part as an opener. During the fight, Geomancer's Gaia will always generate a Wind Slash. Certain AOE effects like Summoner boosted Syldra or Samurai's Zeninage throwing money around will allow you to AOE burn every part at the same time. Barring those, however, you will have to deal with each part individually.

Front
The front part is represented by the horned centaur creature that was Exdeath's beta design. It has 50000 hit points, and is Heavy.

It attacks entirely with physical strikes and Vacuum Wave attacks, which it uses fairly regularly every turn. Back row will half the damage, as will the Protect spell. Meanwhile the Blink spell, Ninja's Image, and summoning Golem can outright negate it. Just keep in mind the occasional Dispel which will remove all of these buffs except Golem. Equipped shields and other items that grant independent evade like the Elven Mantle or Sasuke's Katana can also mitigate some of the damage this part does.

Weakness wise, though, this part doesn't have a lot. It can be blinded to make it miss with its swings, but overcoming its high magic evasion is a bit of a tall order. There's no real shortcut to bringing this part down, though - you just have to burn through all of its hit points. Because of this lack of quickly exploitable weaknesses, you don't want to leave it alone to be the last part.

Upper Middle
The upper middle part is represented by the red horned beast (possibly meant to evoke a mythological kirin) on Neo Exdeath's back. It has 55000 hit points, is Heavy, and is classified as a Dragon.

This part periodically lets out an emote regarding the laws of the universe, and then two turns later unleashes Grand Cross, an ability that just applies random negative status effects (up to and including instant death) to your whole party. While Grand Cross is charging, Neo Exdeath cannot use Almagest. Depending on your luck, this can be a minor annoyance, or can immediately stop your fight cold. Any gear that grants you immunity to status effects, like Ribbon or Hermes Sandals, can make Grand Cross do nothing if it rolls a resisted effect. Chemists who have mixed Life Shield (Holy Water + Phoenix Down) and Dragon's Kiss (Maiden's Kiss + Dragon Fang) on everyone will eliminate the worst of what Grand Cross can inflict.

Weapons that do extra damage to Dragon enemies, like Dragon Lance, Apollo's Harp, or Dragon's Whisker, will cut deep into this part's health. This is important because at specific health thresholds (30000 and 15000 hit points respectively), this part's script resets, meaning you can lock it out of casting Grand Cross if you do damage fast enough. This comes with its own risks though, as once below 15k health this part starts mixing in Meteor casts and physical attacks into its rotation. If you've been able to script reset though, then rushing through the last set of health should be no problem either.

On top of that, this part is specifically weak to paralysis effects. If you can get this part locked down with paralysis, you can safely leave it for last, as it being paralyzed locks out even the final part's murderous script. A Blue Mage with Mind Blast makes this very easy, and a whip wielding Beastmaster with the right weapon (including the aforementioned Dragon's Whisker) can also potentially shut it down. If you're really desperate, you can gamble by spam summoning Remora, although this is unlikely to hit.

If you have none of these options, you will probably want to burn this part's hit points down in tandem with the front part's, so they die at roughly the same time, all while praying that the Grand Crosses and the later Meteors aren't too mean.

Lower Middle
The lower middle part is represented either by the grinning horned skull or the woman in the red dress sticking out from underneath Neo Exdeath. (It's version dependent.) It has 55000 hit points, is Heavy, and is classified as a Magic Beast.

This part likes to make Neo Exdeath vibrate with power. After a turn of shaking, it unleashes Almagest, a massive magical attack that does around 1500-1600 damage and inflicts sap to your entire party. The Shell spell can half the initial damage, and an equipped Aegis Shield can block the spell on every version save defunct mobile/Steam. On the Pixel Remaster version, equipment that grants magic evasion gives you a chance to avoid Almagest completely. While this part is winding up for Almagest, Grand Cross is put on hold.

Because of the massive party-wide damage from Almagest, dealing with this part is a very high priority. The easiest way to do this is via the art of petrification. Mystic Knights can just swing a Break spellblade to immediately do this with no trouble at all. Black Mages can try just casting Break, while Summoners can call on Catoblepas to do the same. (In the defunct mobile/Steam version, a Lamp summoned Catoblepas also can work nicely due to AOE targeting.) Certain Beastmaster releases like Mover or Orukat can also land a hit to do the same, although this is a bit more dicey.

If you do not have access to such, you will need to burn through this part's hit points the old fashioned way, and quickly. Again, this is typically the most dangerous part of Neo Exdeath, so taking Almagest off the board as soon as possible is highly recommended.

Back
The back part is represented by the skeletal torso towards the, well, back of Neo Exdeath. It has 60000 hit points, and is classified as a Humanoid.

The form is the spellcaster of the bunch, throwing out Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga spells along with Holy and Flare. It will also sprinkle in a Delta Attack to petrify your party members, as well as the occasional expected Dispel.

And in the time it took you to read all that, this part is probably now dead, since it falls to a Magic Lamp summoned Odin. Given how any run can use the lamp, it's the preferred strategy to take advantage of this. The real question is whether to use the lamp to kill this part first, or save it for last. It's a bit of a matter of personal preference, but generally it isn't recommended to deal with this part's spell output and Almagest's damage at the same time.

Alternatively, if you want to be a rebel and not use the lamp, Blue Mage can hit this part with their Doom spell, Samurai can attempt Iainuki, and Time Mages can try to throw the Banish spell at it. The only reason you'd want to inflict hit point damage to this part is if you were going for strategy of spamming AOE attacks.

The End
Once the final part goes down, watch the credits roll and celebrate a fiesta run well done. That is, unless you have unfinished business with Shinryu and/or Omega...

Summary
Necrophobe guards the last save point before the Final Boss and many teams will confront him as a penultimate challenge. This fight is manageable as long as the party member can survive a single Holy or Flare they can power through this fight. If the party confronted Gilgamesh (Exdeath Castle - Morphing Time) then Gilgamesh will appear after enough damage has been dealt to Necrophobe to finish the fight after a lugubrious speech.
Strategies
The party needs to first defeat the 4 barriers to remove Necrophobe's invincibility before killing him. The biggest problem with this fight is being able to survive a single Flare or Holy. Many teams need to have 1,650 HP to survive the final boss's Almagest anyway, so this is not a difficult barrier to cross if the player has prepared for the final boss. As long as that hurdle can be cleared a party equipped with 4 Hermes Sandals can overcome Necrophobe's action economy to pick themselves back up and demolish the barriers before Necrophobe himself. Gilgamesh can show up once Necrophobe is below 10,000 HP, but it mostly serves to lengthen the fight while allowing the player to acquire the Genji Armor.
Summary
In the pentultimate step of Gilgamesh's bizarre adventure, he finds himself lost in the void swinging wildly at any shadow that approaches him. Considering the Behemoths stalking him and their penchant for counterattacks one would think he'd pause for even a second to identify what's approaching him. This assumption, unfortunately, is faulty and the party will be assaulted by Gilgamesh when they walk up to him to ask him to stop blocking the "gate" to the next area. Thankfully, Greg has learned his lesson fighting Behemoths (that magic attacks are countered with a more dangerous Meteor spell) and is lashing out only with physical attacks, and he doesn't have the DPS to threaten any party that can reach the Void. Knock some sense into Gilgamesh to calm him down, maybe steal his Genji Shield on the way, and wave as he leaves.
Gilgamesh's damage comes entire from physical attacks. His damage output is so low that any party that could have reached this point can tank his hits, racing him with Hermes Sandals or equipping Elven Mantles and Shields will allow the player to breeze through this fight and continue on.
Summary
The three little pigs guard the third tablet and Meteor, and are spoiling for a fight with the player. Many fiesta teams do not need to touch the trench as Advance runs are required to enter the trench, Time Mage wants to run through the Trench to acquire Meteor, and Bards can use Requiem to blast everything in the trench away with little risk. Additionally, with the spring that refills the charges of the Magic Lamp, any team can summon Odin, annihilate this fight, and refill the Lamp on the walk out. This fight is a speed bump to any team that can reach it and it should be treated with similar respect.
Strategies
The Magic Lamp is an instant win condition, as Odin will always kill these three in a single stroke. The party can even refill the lamp on the walk out of the trench by dipping the lamp in the spring adjacent to the Dwarven Kingdom. The opportunity cost is negligible to doing this, so the lamp is the highest recommended strategy. If not using the lamp, multitarget damage is recommended to keep the trio from reviving themselves and casting delta attack. If the party has no multitarget damage, then it is recommended to count the damage dealt to each enemy so they can be defeated in quick succession to prevent delta attack.
